    Q:
How do you remove and replace the foglight bulb from the bumper on BMW X5? Posted by Customer
    A:
Located at the middle of the fender and bumper is the foglight plastic trim ring which you should pull out with fingers. Then, remove the foglight mounting screws and shift it backward a little thus removing it from the bumper. Pull the electrical connector to disconnect it from the rear of the housing and then remove the housing rear cover. Then remove harness connector. Twist the bulb socket holder in anticlockwise direction in order to pull out the bulb from the housing. For models from 1012002, to replace the bulb, turn the socket holder anticlockwise and take out the bulb. It also advises avoiding direct contact of the bulb surface with bare fingers, because the grease may cause failure.
