How do I remove the center console on BMW 330i? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by squeezing the sides of the shift lever boot inward and pull it up from the center console trim. On models with an automatic transmission, remove the selector lever knob by lifting it straight out. If your model has iDrive controllers, you can insert tape between the controller panel and instrument panel to prevent damage to both parts; then, pry up the iDrive controller trim panel to disconnect its electrical connectors. Pull off any trim screws, if present; then use a plastic trim tool to cautiously lift up the top of the trim on that portion of the centre console, disconnecting any electrical connectors in so doing. On 8-speed automatic transmission models, remove four mount screws for shifter lever (or knobs) and pull up shifter whiles unplugging all electric harness connected to it. Pry out caps; then undo bolts at front of console. Free clips at rear/sides of console and release rear section to free clips at top. Remove nuts holding rear of console (if accessible), also detach all electric connections on it which are available in this area. Pry parking brake lever boot away from console and separate electrical connectors down underit cut cable tie holding boot around lever remove boot from lever raise parking brake handle fully lift center console forward slightly until guides' disengagement is felt at back while removing mounting screws from front and middle as it withdrawn release this connector during drawing back process implant center console over parking brake handle assuring proper engagement of front guide and vent tighten all fasteners securely.

    Q:
How do you remove the center console on BMW 335i? Posted by Customer
    A:
To dismantle the rear center console in both Coupe and Convertible models, first you will detach the shift knob. To remove the shift boot of cars with manual transmission, the boot material should be lift up in such a way that the tabs do not break. As for automatic transmissions, take the shift boot and apply slight pressure to the left side of the frame so that the trim clip will pop out, finally, pull out the shift boot. A plastic prying tool can be used to pry out the trim piece; pull off the connectors of electrical connections and then remove it in the direction of the arrow. On all models, remove the trim piece in the areas of the trim clips, pull the covers and fasteners away. When removing trims do so gently as you unhook the trim clips, remove other fasteners and disconnect the electrical connectors. Draw the parking brake handle boot over the handle and, if fitted, remove the phone system electrical connector. Lift the center console at the rear as the parking brake lever boot is inserted though the hole, disconnected electrical connectors and finally take off the center console. The process of installation is done in the opposite order to the removal of parts, especially electrical connectors, the air ducts, and in case of any the damaged panel clips are replaced.
