To remove the front seat, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then slide the seat fully forwards and raise the seat cushion. For Sedan and Sport Wagon models, remove the bolt and disconnect the seatbelt anchorage bracket from the seat rail, followed by loosening and removing the bolts and washers securing the rear of the seat rails to the floor. Next, slide the seat fully backwards, remove the trim caps from the front mounting nuts/bolts, and loosen and remove the nuts/bolts and washers. Slide the seat forward until the ends of the runners are flush with the rails, then work under the front of the seat to slide out the locking element and disconnect the seat wiring connector before lifting the seat out of the vehicle. For folding rear seat removal in Sedan and Coupe models, pull up on the front of the seat cushion to release the retaining clips and remove it, disconnecting any seat heating wiring connectors as necessary. If needed, pull down the rear seat armrest and unbolt it from the seat back, then loosen and remove the bolts securing the seat belt lower mountings to the body. Fold the seat backs forward, remove the center mounting bolt, and take out the seats. In Sport Wagon models, release the rear seat backrest and fold it forward, then remove the trim panel between the seat backrest and the door aperture by pulling the top forward to release the retaining clip and pulling it upwards. Remove the screws securing the rear seat backrest center mounting bracket and the two screws for each side's backrest outer bracket, then lift the backrest assembly in the center to disengage the outer pivots and maneuver the seats from the vehicle. For fixed rear seat removal, pull down the rear seat armrest and unclip it from the seat back, then pull up on the seat base cushion to release the retaining clips and remove it. Unclip the top of the seat back, slide it upwards to release the lower retaining pins, and remove it. For front seat installation, reverse the removal process, ensuring that on manually-adjusted seats, the retaining bolts are installed and tightened by hand, and on electrically-adjusted seats, the wiring is connected and routed correctly. For Sedan and Sport Wagon models, tighten the seat belt mounting bolt to the specified torque and reconnect the battery negative lead. For folding rear seats in Sedan and Coupe models, ensure the seat outer pivots engage correctly with the locating holes and tighten the seat belt lower mounting bolts to the specified torque. In Sport Wagon models, follow the reverse of the removal process, twisting the upper retaining clip into the backrest side section and securing the side trim panel. For fixed rear seat installation, ensure the seat back lower locating pegs are engaged with the body and the seat belt buckles and lap belt are fed through the intended openings. For front seat positioning motors, remove the front seat, disconnect the wiring connector, and remove the motor from the drive gearbox, then reverse the process for installation, tightening the motor mounting screws securely.
