    Q:
How to remove Hazard Warning Switches,Mirror Switch and Window Switch on BMW 330i? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the negative battery cable before removing any switch, and reconnect the cable after installing the switch. To remove the lighting switch, pry the decorative trim strip/air vent from the left-hand side of the instrument panel and disconnect any electrical connectors. Then, pry the switch and surrounding trim from the instrument panel and disconnect the electrical connector. If necessary, release the catches and detach the switch from the trim. For hazard warning, central locking, and DTC switches, pry the decorative trim strip/air vents from the instrument panel and disconnect any electrical connectors. Press the switch block from the strip. To remove electric window switches, pry the switch panel from the armrest and disconnect the electrical connectors. For exterior mirror switches, follow the same steps as removing electric window switches. To remove the clutch pedal position switch, remove the driver's side lower instrument panel and disconnect the electrical connector. Then, unclip the switch from the side of the master cylinder. For the central instrument panel switch cluster, remove the heating/air conditioning/climate control panel and disconnect the electrical connector. Release the clips and detach the switch cluster from the control panel. The courtesy light switches are a function of the door/trunk lid/tailgate lock assemblies. To remove the sunroof/interior light switches, pry out the interior light lens and release the clips to pry the switch/panel assembly from the headliner. Disconnect the electrical connectors. For trunk lid/tailgate release switches, unclip the diagnostic plug socket cover on the driver's side kick panel and push the release switch from the panel. Disconnect the electrical connector. To remove the iDrive controller, remove the center console and carefully pry the controller knob upwards from the assembly. Remove the mounting bolts and detach the controller from the console. For automatic transmission shift paddles, remove the driver's airbag and disconnect the shift paddle electrical connectors. Remove the mounting bolts and pull the paddles from the steering wheel.
