    Q:
How do I remove and install wiper blades and wiper arms on BMW M3? Posted by Customer
    A:
First you should lift the wiper arm to remove it. Then put a protective cloth on the windshield base. While at the same time, press and hold the release tab on the pivot of your blade towards its arm until it's free. In case you are replacing an insert, lower the wiper arm onto the cloth. A new blade is fitted by lifting upwards into a wiper arms until securely snaps pivoting clip into place. For removal of wiper arms, ensure that they are in park with ignition off. Take care when removing nut cover from wiper arm mounting or marking down spindle positions of both blades for correct adjustment in future. The next step is then to loosen and remove nut, then press down on this arm several times so as to detach it from mounting spindle. At last, grasp around the spindle and raise up until latching occurs before gently pulling out whole assembly of both blades together with this unit from its socket spot which holds it tight against coming off too soon without doing what is required: pushing once upon time again; hence just another way through other means than doing anything but instead only holding them over there until all parts come apart themselves - everything goes smoothly including getting them back into place afterwards because nothing else will be necessary beyond some more turning of knobs makes sure things fit perfectly well during reassembly process! Reinstall by aligning matchmarks made during disassembly, press down on wiper arms until they are completely seated on shafts and secure them using mount nuts and covers Put your engine on start, let it idle without electrical accessories engaged while wetting windshields before going full speed with which wipe dirty glass clean every time there's water drops no longer needed anymore as soon as possible if any contact happens between these components' edges has happened! When required move back & forward prior reinstalling tightening or adjusting where necessary.

    Q:
What steps should be taken if the windshield wipers do not operate on BMW Z3? Posted by Customer
    A:
If the windshield wipers do not operate, check the fuse and replace it if necessary, then check the switch operation and repair or replace it as needed. Inspect for corroded, loose, disconnected, or broken wires and clean or repair them as required, and examine the ground circuit for the wiper switch or motor, making repairs as necessary. If the wiper motor makes a humming noise, gets hot, or blows fuses, it may be damaged internally and should be replaced, or the wiper linkage may be bent, damaged, or seized, requiring repair or replacement. If the wiper motor operates but one or both wipers fail to move, check if the motor linkage is loose or disconnected and repair or replace it as needed, and ensure the wiper arms are secure on the wiper pivots, tightening or replacing them if necessary. If the wipers will not park, verify the wiper switch operation to ensure it properly interrupts power to the motor; if the switch is functioning correctly, the wiper motor parking circuit may have failed, necessitating replacement of the wiper motor assembly. Before installing the arms and blades, operate the wiper motor at least once to ensure correct positioning, then recheck using the highest wiper speed on a wet windshield to confirm that the arms and blades do not contact the windshield trim.

    Q:
What should you do after reinstalling the wiper arm for the 1996 BMW Z3? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the engine, idle it with electrical accessories off, wet the windshield, and run the wipers at full speed. If the wiper blades make contact with the windshield trim, loosen the mounting nut for repositioning. If needed, pivot the wiper arm back and forth before repositioning and tightening the mounting nut.
