The pressure plate should be able to be moved between the two match marks without excessive force or looseness.

Using new fasteners coated with a suitable locking agent, tighten and torque in a three-step crisscross pattern. The torque values vary depending on the engine type and transmission. (120 Nm), all engines with automatic transmission, micro-encapsulated fasteners: 88.5 ft. lbs. (120 Nm), all others: micro-encapsulated fasteners: 77.4 ft. lbs. (105 Nm).
