To remove and service the fuel injectors: Remove the ignition coils and high-pressure fuel line to the high-pressure pump. Disconnect the electrical connector to the high-pressure sensor. Loosen and pull up the high-pressure fuel pipe unions from the fuel rail to the injectors. Loosen the fuel rail bolts and rotate the fuel rail counterclockwise to clear the injectors. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the injectors and remove the ground wire. Loosen and remove the hold-down elements and clean the area. Pull the injectors from the cylinder head and place plastic caps over each injector. Remove the coupling element from each injector and cut the Teflon ring from the ends. Clean the injector nozzle and install new Teflon rings if reusing the injectors. Clean the injector holes in the cylinder head and program the adjustment values for new injectors. Install the injectors into their original positions and tighten the coupling element bolts. Tighten the union sleeves and install the coupling element between the injectors. Rotate the fuel injector pipes and reconnect the high-pressure pipe unions. Tighten the injector clamp bolts and T-shaped coupling element mounting bolts. Tighten the high-pressure fuel pipe unions and reconnect the injector electrical connectors. Reinstall the high-pressure fuel pump lines, ignition coils, and remaining components.
